93% Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is the best in the series and is an example that action movies can still feel original and awesome, and if you were hoping for the big action film that will send 2011 iff with a bang, prepare to be pleased. The story follows Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) who is sent on his next mission to stop nuclear war after the entire IMF has been shut down, and with his new team consisting of Benji (Simon Pegg), Brandt (Jeremy Renner), and Carter (Paula Patton) they will need a lot of luck to pull of this mission. The plot was really well done and just as good as I was hoping it to be, they added on the story of Ethan a bit instead of just completely forgetting the story of the third film, which was very enjoyable and made me care about the characters more. As for the characters, they have kept and added characters to the film that were all just pure fun, they even made me actually excited to watch a female protagonist in an action film which really does not happen that often, but overall I understood what was going on and it's another good story for the series. The cast was just as good as I expected and I think they deserve a little bit of praise seeing as this is an action film. Tom Cruise has never been one of my favorite actors, but that does not change the fact that he was born to play Ethan Hunt, a very good performance. Simon Pegg is just a naturally funny guy and is a great choice for his role. Jeremy Renner is probably the best addition, he was just such a badass and I truly believe he will be a huge actor in a few years, I love this guy. Paula Patton is a good female character and she plays it tough and true, and has made this one of the few action films where the actress is cool and interesting. Now it is time to talk about the main reason we paid to see this, the action, and believe me it is as impossible and ridiculous as we have come to know and love. There are some incredibly nail biting moments in this film and some huge seat jumping moments where you will be holding your breath at the intensity they have given this great action film. But to sum it all up, this film is honestly one of the best action films this year and the best action film of the series so prepare to be satisfied. The score of the film is amazing and just as great as the previous installments and I truly believe one of the biggest things that make a film great is the music, and this is probably the best score in the series. It gave the action scenes intensity and it gave the rest of the film just some beautiful music to listen too that gave it just an amazing mood. Most people do not see the Mission Impossible series for the story or acting, although I think a good action film needs those things, but either way we all see this series mostly for the action, and trust me that is the highlight of the film and will not disappoint at all, this is a great film and I highly recommend to fans of the series and people who just want to have a fun time, because that is the true point of the Mission Impossible series, to just let the audience have fun.
