Harley Pasternak knows Jessica Simpson. They share a relationship that goes far beyond trainer and trainee. “It’s almost like a family, a family feel, where we’re able to be open with each other,” said the celebrity trainer who chatted with us exclusively by phone for nearly an hour, thrilled to talk about Simpson whom he’s worked with on and off for many years. “She doesn’t have to come here in makeup or dressed to the nines, and I can be honest with her. She says, ‘Gosh, don’t want to do this one,’ and I say, ‘Do it,” and she’ll do it.”
